Solid Rock Christian School is a private school located in Christmas Valley. They serve students from nursery/preschool through 12th-grade levels. They are a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
The Oregon State University (OSU) Extension Service provides research-based, informal educational programs. Extension programs deliver education and information to help Oregonians solve problems, develop leadership skills, and manage resources wisely. Lake County Extension programs focus on Agriculture, Family and Community Health, and 4-H Youth Development.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to children from birth to age five in participating communities within the United States. The Friends of Lake County Library also fund-raise annually to support the Imagination Library in Lake County. The program is free to parents and costs community partners $25 per year per child. You can donate directly to the Lake County program by sending a check made out to ‘Friends of LCL’ with ‘Imagination Library’ in the memo field to Friends, 26 South G Street, Lakeview, OR 97630.
Care Connections and Education serves Douglas, Klamath & Lake counties as a resource to increase and build connections to quality childcare. They empower childcare providers to excel in their profession through educational opportunities on best practices, exploration of career pathways, and connection with families needing care.
Take Root Parenting Support offers classes, workshops, and materials to parents to help them learn ways to provide effective discipline and guidance, nurture, and foster life skills, promote healthy development, and, most of all, enjoy the enormous task of raising their children.
Community UPLiFT is a coordinated referral system that connects expectant parents and families with children 0-5 years old and up to 21 with special needs to local services. Community UPLiFT connects you with child development and learning services, parenting education and support, and basic needs (WIC, energy assistance services). This service is free to all (no restrictions based on insurance or income).
The South Central Oregon Early Learning Hub is a program of the Douglas ESD. Douglas ESD works with its partners to coordinate services in the geographic region of Douglas, Klamath, and Lake counties.
Little Ones Christian Preschool is located in Lakeview, OR. Their mission is to teach children to know who God is, to grow into the child God desires them to be, and to show His love to others by being kind, helpful, and respectful. In addition, to prepare them to be ready to enter Kindergarten.
Klamath Falls Head Start (Lakeview Site) is a preschool program in Lakeview, Oregon. The location helps with childcare for children from three years of age to four years and 11 months.
Central Oregon Community College promotes student success and community enrichment by providing quality, accessible, lifelong educational opportunities. To achieve student success and community enrichment, COCC fosters student completion of academic goals, prepares students for employment, assists regional employers, and promotes equitable achievement for the diverse students and communities they serve.
The Klamath Community College (Lake County) offers critical services to students of Lakeview and the surrounding rural area. Some of these services include the Innovation and Learning Center, Klamath Center for Education & Training (K-CET Lake County), and Workforce Lake County. In addition to synchronous and on-site KCC courses, students can take advantage of workforce training, community education courses, and GED/ESL classes. In addition to on-site learning, students have the option to take KCC courses online. Several degrees can be earned completely online, and online tutoring is available through our Learning Resource Center. Also available through KCC are WIOA Employment Counseling and Career Services center in Lakeview.
Adel School District serves the town of Adel. They have one school in the district that offers services for students in fourth-grade through eighth-grade levels.
Plush School District serves the town of Plush. They have one school building that offers services for students in preschool through eighth-grade levels.
The Lake County ESD Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education program serves children from birth to age 5 who are in need of special education services. The program staff includes Michael Benson, EI/ECSE Specialist and Speech & Language Pathologist; and Danielle Thames, Educational Assistant. An additional support to the program is provided by the ESD’s Special Ed Director and Office Manager.
The Lake County Education Service District serves the people and schools of Lake County through various programs. Some of the programs that they offer are school safety, youth mentoring, special education, curriculum/instruction support, homeschooling, and early intervention/early childhood special education programs.
North Lake School District is dedicated to an educational foundation providing the tools, motivation, and discipline to encourage the development of students, staff, and community and to provide a personal, consistent, and caring education that will prepare all students to become well-rounded and to realize their maximum potential.
Paisley School District has a unique array of resources. They have a traditional public school, a dormitory, and a distance learning program. Their brick and mortar school, Paisley Charter School, is located in Paisley, OR, along with the dormitory. The Paisley Distance Learning Program is their virtual school that serves students all over the state of Oregon who learn in their homes while supported by the Distance Learning staff.
Lake County School District #7 is located in Lakeview, Oregon. They serve students by providing a variety of programs ranging from core academic, career-technical, and advanced college-level classes through the high school dual-credit program. The school facilities include a high school, a middle school, three elementary buildings, and career/technical facilities.
