Klamath Animal Shelter helps all stray, abandoned, and abused animals in Klamath County. They help the overpopulation of pets through education as well as spay and neuter programs. They are a non-profit organization. They do not receive government funding and rely on donations to provide care for homeless pets.
Oregon Outback Humane Society
Oregon Outback Humane Society is an all volunteer organization that focuses on proactive programs to prevent animal homelessness. Based in Lake County, Oregon, they provide low cost spay and neuter assistance to decrease the number of homeless and unwanted animals in the county.
Humane Society of Central Oregon
The Humane Society of Central Oregon is a rescue out of Bend, Oregon. Some of the services they provide are adoption, dog licensing, spay and neuter assistance programs, pet food assistance programs as well as other services.
High Plateau Humane Society (Alturas)
The High Plateau Humane Society (HPHS) is an all-volunteer animal rescue nonprofit organization in Alturas that usually has dogs and cats available for adoption. It also offers low-cost spay/neuter, immunizations, and exam certificates to low-income individuals, as well as low-cost euthanasia certificates for pets who are terminally ill or suffering. In addition, low-cost feral cat spay/neuter certificates are available to all who want them at about half the price you would pay the vet, and HPHS adopts out altered and immunized feral cats as "Barn Cats" free of charge. One of its primary sources of income is the Second Chance Thrift Store, where lightly used household items and clothes are available for sale. Please consider donating items or funds to HPHS to keep our doors open and help us help animals in need.
